Savannah Waterfront
Fall in the Georgia Mountains
Georgia is one our nearby states. We've spent a fair amount of time there--mainly in the mountains and in Savannah. Savannah is one of our favorite cities. When our daughter was competing in Scottish Highland dancing, we spent quite a bit of time there.
Because the western North Carolina mountains join the Georgia mountains, we have also spent a fair amount of time exploring that part of Georgia. Most of our visits to Georgia were in the pre-digital days. So I'll have to wait until I get the photos from those trips scanned before I can post them on the website.
Amicalola falls in the Georgia Mountains
The mountains in Northeast Georgia are blessed with numerous waterfalls. There are several easy hikes to very pretty waterfalls, such as Anna Ruby Falls near Helen, Georgia. The beautiful Tallulah Gorge is also in this area of Georgia. You can find links to some of these waterfalls in the Exploring Georgia Menu.
The Savannah waterfront has always been one of our favorite spots to visit. Several good places to eat. The ships and boats on the water are always interesting.
