Wind Cave National Park is located in South Dakota near the Badlands National Park. It is somewhat isolated and is one of the less visited National Parks, There are There are no lodging, gasoline, grocery, or restaurant services available in the park. There is one campground in the park which has no water or electrical hookups. The good thing about the campground is that spaces are usually always available.

The two attractions at Wind Cave National Park are: the Wind Cave and the largest remaining natural mixed-grass prairie in the United States. The prairie is home to one of only four free-roaming and genetically pure bison herds on public lands in North America. The other herds are in Yellowstone National Park, Henry Mountains in Central Utah, and Elk Island in Alberta, Canada.

There is no gas or food in the park. And except for a dry campground there is no lodging in the park. Gas, food, and lodging are available in Custer State Park next to the National Park.
