Laurel Falls Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The trail to Laurel Falls is an easy paved trail of about 1.3 miles one way. Much of the time the trail is packed because it is such an nice trail. It's often impossible to find a parking place near the trailhead.
In mid week, however, the crowds were almost non-existent, and we had things pretty much to ourselves. The walk to the falls is very nice. The fall colors were just starting to develop. The red were especially striking against the dominant green background.
