Reflections at Schwabacher Landing Great Tetons National Park
You might miss the road to Schwabacker Landing and even if you do notice it, you might be tempeted to bypass it because the road is very steep. But don't pass it by. Drive down the steep road and park in the parking lot. Then get out and walk around. You'll find some of the classic views of Grand Tetons National Park.
Schwabacher landing provides some of the best scenery you can walk to in the Grand Tetons National Park. First you get good views of beaver ponds and the Snake River. But most people come to see the reflections of the mountains in beaver ponds and the snake river. It's a very beautiful spot. Because the beaver dams tend to flood the area, be prepared for a muddy trail.

If you're lucky, you might see the beavers working in the beaver pond. While we were there we saw two of them carrying groceries home for the winter. This is the second one we saw. It was carrying more stuff than the first one was.
