Lightroom 3 Beta Galleries

I've been playing with the latest beta of Adobe's Lightroom 3 trying to see if how it works and probably getting a preview of the next version of Camera Raw. My general impressions are that there is some good new stuff here.

The noise reduction in the latest version is much better than in the current version of Camera Raw and Lightroom (they share the same processing engine). The new noise reduction will put a lot of pressure on the various third party noise reduction programs. I suspect that many of us will not need a third party program anymore.

The sharpening routines also seem to be improved.

I also have been playing with the web gallery export options. The basic web gallery is OK and with a bit of work could be customized to any degree desired. I've posted a few of the web galleries here. I like the idea of being able to making a web gallery direct from Lightroom without the need to resize files for the web, save for the web, etc. It provides a much cleaner workflow.

So visit the galleries and enjoy the beauty of our country.
