Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park
Cadillac Mountain Acadia National Park
View from Cadillac Mountain dominated by cruise ship
At 1,532 feet, Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard. It is one of 17 mountains on Mount Desert Island, Maine. During the ice age, glaciers removed to tops of the mountains, otherwise they would be higher today.
The view from the top of Cadillac Mountain is great. About the first thing we noticed was how the cruise ship dominated the landscape. These things are really big.
