Hoh Rain Forest
Hoh Rain Forest
The Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park is green everywhere. The trees are covered with moss, the small streams are full of green vegetation and there are ferns everywhere. When we were there in September 2019 there were places of color-pinks, reds, yellows hidden among the green. But the greens dominated.
Ferns
Some color in the Hoh Rain Forest
When the trees can't remain up, they fall over and rip up their roots. And then the vegetation takes over. The moss and ferns and other plants use the fallen tree for their own growth. Even the mushrooms get into the act.
Too old to stand

Some of the views through the trees lead to bright regions of color. It's like being in a fairy land of green.
