Fairy Stone State Park, Virginia
Fairy Stone State Park is a very nice park. The campsites for RVs and tents are available. All have water and electric hookups. Virginia's state parks are among the best in the US.
There are several trails in the park, but we came to paddle--not hike. So we didn't explore any of the trails. The lake is about 168 acres. The gas engines are not allowed on the lake. So you only share the lake with people paddling or with electric engins. Makes for a quite paddle.
After we finished paddling, we tried our luck looking for fairy stones. We didn't have any luck but it was fun.
