Gibbon Falls, Yellowstone National Park
From Lake Village we drove around the park stopping at Gibbon Falls. This is a pretty waterfall just off the road. The water flow at the falls was low. Probably due to the fact that our visit was in September and most, if not all, of the snow feeding the rivers had melted. After we had seen Gibbon falls, we drove on to visit some of the thermal features in the park.

Coyote in Yellowstone National Park
When we were driving through Yellowstone on our way to Grand Tetons, we noticed a coyote in the field off the road. He seemed to be having a good time chasing some flying insect. It looked like he caught some of them for a snack.
We also saw a couple of elk as we drove through the park. When we were in the Yellowstone in 1999, the elk were everywhere.
